WRITING COLLECTION
Each project I work on is a unique and fulfilling experience.
With years of accumulated writing experience, I can adapt my writing style to do what is best for you and your vision.
I invite you to look through my recent work, and if you like what you see, I will enjoy meeting you, to talk further.
TRACY SARROFF
Verisimilitude – science fiction and science fact – is the intersecting enquiry between ecology and science that brings Tracy Sarroff's solo exhibition Altered States to ARC ONE Gallery in Melbourne. The show embodies deliberations on transgenics, biotechnology, and microscopy that showcase a variety of conceptual ideas exploring the material and aesthetic interests of the artist.
PIMPISA TINPALIT
Pimpisa Tinapalit is not afraid of anything. Responding to the loss of her father, her upcoming solo exhibition at Grau Projekt, ‘Silence #1.5’, is a discussion of the beauty of death. This series of works explore the metaphysical relationships of composition and material to evoke the idea of mindfulness – a parting gift shared by Tinapalit and her father through their emotional journey of cancer and loss.
CALL TO ACTION
Have you ever felt that you would like to be a part of a bigger community? That your purpose in life isn’t fully realised? That you have the means to contribute more to people? That you have skills that can help others? Or that your life could have a greater value if it had a stronger meaning?
CYBER PLANT
It has been written that I represent the film Avatar, but I don’t. I have 12 bodies connected to form ‘me,’ and I float with sways of beautiful fluorescent colour and lights that tells you that I am beautiful, as beautiful as the first garden weeds in the early settler days of ‘West Melbourne Swamp” that is now the Docklands where I live.
BOOK OF DAUGHTERS
Years ago, when I first saw Jolt Arts at Federation Square conducting the Amplified Elephants, it was clear to me that I had witnessed one of the most profound sonic performances I'd experienced to date.
Back then, I did not know anything about Jolt Arts; however, that night stayed with me for years in that it demonstrated a collective of people, passionate about their art and dedicated to a community.
PIMPISA TINPALIT
MONDAY 3 JUNE 2019 8:30 TO 10 PM
This Monday on Kiss FM Dance Music Australia, the FORUM show, will be interviewing Pimpisa Tinpalit, artist, curator and director of Black Cat Art Gallery in Collingwood.
‘Art does not exist to adorn walls – it is a sledgehammer that can break them down.’
URBAN DESIGN AND URBAN ART
The inclusion of urban art into urban design planning and urban design infrastructure is an important element to be considered when evaluating the Victorian Government’s Melbourne
2030 plan. This plan heralds significant population growth and new developments in Melbourne's
metropolitan area.
TONEE MESSIAH
IN THE PRACTICE OF SITTING
Tonee Messiah's debut show at Nicholas Thompson Gallery, 'In the Practice of Sitting', explores three recurring themes – posture, place and sensation. Yet in her new work, familiar compositional movements and spatial relationships have been reanalysed by the unexpected confines of her home during the COVID-19 lockdown.
